The Church: A Closer Look

The purpose of the series is to edify the Body of Christ by expanding her understanding of the origin, nature, calling, and destiny of the Church. This is an endeavor that is rooted in Spiritual warfare, though I do not overtly frame it that way. It is an endeavor that requires revelation.

Governments of the world, especially those of a more repressive kind, quietly fear the people they rule over. They fear that their population will awaken to the power that they hold. If the people ever awakened that would be it for the cruel dictator.

Similarly, if the Church really knew who she was in Christ, the enemy would begin to lose ground. Said another way, the Church would begin to overcome.

This work has not been easy to write so it may not be easy to read. I have tried to be as clear as possible but some of these things are difficult to communicate. Entertainment is not the goal, though I have tried to keep it engaging and approachable.

Prayer

Lord, we want to know you more. Grant us a spirit of revelation and wisdom in the full knowledge of Jesus. Help us to know our identity in Christ, the hope of His calling, and the exceeding greatness of His power at work in our lives. Amen.
